This year’s recipients of the Sara Smiles scholarships have posted about their experiences from the first couple of months.
The scholarship supports two students from East Carolina University, providing funds for them to travel into local elementary schools to bring new ideas about literacy to the schools. In return, the university students get real classroom experience, and probably pick up a few tips from veteran teachers.
It’s an exciting program that benefits all that are involved – thank you to our generous donors who make this possible!
